That describes how it goes really well Hanneke. Thank you. I'll keep working at it.

I make meditation really easy!
Let it happen, observe, drift back, let it happen, observe, drift back.
I have been practicing for over 40 years and I have decidedly drifty days still. The practice is what matters, not the "result". Just sitting for 10 minutes observing your breath and your drifting has a huge beneficial effect.
At some point you drift so little you don't notice. Then you float.

I am a great fan of walking meditation, much less strained than sitting. Also: sit comfortably. Sofa is totally fine! Don't contort your runners legs and bum on the floor! Drift out, drift in is enough!

Also: a guided meditation is nice and very helpful.
As is starting with concentration first...

Nellers, do you find that you concentrate best when the Headspace chappy says "now just let your mind wander for a bit"? I do, and it always makes me smile.

It's certainly the case that when I've got "permission" for my mind to wander I find it harder to just let go, yes. Brains are weird!

I do too! When I am trying hard, my mind just does its own thing, but as soon as I stop trying, it goes quiet.

I need to do more of this I am doing yoga at the moment and it has 5min of breathing exercises at the end. I try to do a bit of breathing / meditation when I go to bed but I’m a bit useless. I’m fully intending to use the breathwork app on my watch to give me some dedicated time.

I'm not doing too well on restarting TBH but I am making a conscious effort to stop and breath whilst at my desk, printer etc.
