I am not the biggest Djokovic fan, in fact I normally support whoever he's playing against but I absolutely wanted him to win that gold. The effort he's put into this and how desperate he was to get it after 5 attempts meant he totally deserved that win. Plus he's 37 and basically playing on one leg  For people who say tennis shouldn't be in the Olympics - watch this final and have your mind changed

In both tiebreaks he played some superb points and it was a deserved win. I was rooting for Alcaraz but Djoko was better in the tiebreaks.

I do like bike races where somebody wins it by going all out when everyone is past their limit. Better than lots of games between sprinters (in my view).

I’m not sure about the Olympics but I think coaches get a medal in the world athletics. My colleague’s husband is a shot-put coach, his American female shot putter won gold and she brought his medal in to show us.

One of my work colleagues won am Olympic silver many years ago in weightlifting for Nigeria. She generally keeps a low profile although it was quite well publicised at the time.
