Well there was the women's road race last time when they reeled in the breakaway.....except they didn't realise one of them was still a couple of minutes up the road

No radios in the Oly Road Race like they have in World Tour races so communication to the riders is a lot more difficult, plus national teams capped at 4 and internal rivalries between riders from the same nation but who ride for different pro teams can make it a very interesting race. Strange things can happen.

Pity that Azu false started in the 100m but a good run for Hinchliffe. No really quick times so far. I presume that those automatically qualifying are holding something back for the second round although Jacobs (reigning champion) struggled to qualify in 10.06. Either that or I am starting to wonder whether it isn't a particularly fast track.

When I said it was boxing’s mess above I see the IOC now making its own mess and changed yesterday’s press release and in quite a significant way too. Still it’s none of the boxers’ faults. |

Transgender is not the same as a DSD. Diogenes - in general would you agree that someone who has XY chromosomes but a developmental disorder that means they have some female appearing characteristics is still male? |

I’m not a scientist but there are exceptions. Though neither do I think that’s a full context of the argument when it comes to sports’ division between male and female. |
