I tried archery once, great fun. Not too hard at 10m to 20m but at Olympic level it’s 70m!

There’s a local club who practice in a field we pass on our way home from parkrun. At a guess I’d say their furthest target are about 50m and they definitely miss more than they hit :-)

What don't we like about Cram's commentary? Andrew Cotter on BBC is pretty good?

I agree studio waffle a bit rubbish, but I just forward through it. Lots of respect for Johnson, Lewis, Ennis-Hill etc. :-) G

You can fast forward through the studio waffle, but while they waffle you are missing loads of fun field action. Get yourself on discovery+ in 2028

I struggle with the Discovery commentator - it sounds like he specialises in F1 or something.

I do like the woman on BBC who reports on all the sailing stuff. I have no clue about sailing but she convinces me she knows what she's talking about!

On the other hand the interviews that Radzi does on the track are really good with interesting and relevant questions - I like him!

About This Thread

Couldn't find a thread so thought I would start one.

Who else is off to watch or who is watching at home?

We're doing Lille and Paris and a mix of sports. Currently trying to find travel insurance that includes ticket cancellation as some of the trains in the UK might be difficult and we have some internal French trains to do as well.

Also need to work out the new Paris metro ticket/app combo (Navigo I think).
