Probably too early for me (still having regular periods but on the lookout for a magic pill to take of 10 years, 5kg and 1 min per km).

Aye, ITG, the licensed indications for oestrogen pessaries don't even hint at any of those benefits :( Maybe some of Stacy Sims's "adaptogens" in Next Level will do the trick. She makes ashwaghanda sound like the elixir of eternal youth.

(I will add that I read that chapter open to the idea of using one or more of these substances when the time was right to stop HRT, and then I had a long chat with Dr Google and decided I wouldn't be bothering.)

[Was whinging to my mate about desire for magic pill. He, age 31, thought that body buildery type steroids would do it. But would have side effects.
At least I don't need to worry about erectile disfunction.

Entirely unscientific and no, I have not attempted to source any 😂]

There are sound reasons why body buildery steroids are popular and even elite endurance athletes are always getting caught using them. Probably best saved for when you've optimised everything else and need that last marginal gain. (Wouldn't touch 'em, but I've also never felt the need to augment my HRT with a tiny squirt of testosterone gel.)

Just wanted to say last year I was given those pessaries and after two weeks I had severe cramps and bleeding. Had to go for a biopsy just to ensure it was nothing else causing it. I stopped taking it immediately and the cramps and bleeding stopped.

If you do use the pessaries and are booked for a smear test, make sure you check whether/ when you need to stop using them before the test. This is because some of the substances can interfere with the lab processes and cause problems with reading the sample.
