Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Day 6 of new contraception and HRT
Had lower back ache yesterday and today so run this morning was shorter than planned
Just started to bleed too so I'm hoping that although I don't normally get back ache it's related!
I've started tracking symptoms in Garmin connect as it does perimenopause and cycle on there

Be interesting to see if it says anything

I used to get back aches as a precursor to periods but that was a very long time ago. They stopped long before I started HRT and have not reappeared since I have been on HRT. Hope the Garmin data is helpful.

run free Thanks for the aloe vera recommendation. I don't have a plant, but I did find some aloe vera gel with the sun cream on the kitchen medicine shelf and it's lovely stuff. Strangely the itchiness spread in a large circle away from the bite, but it's fading now.

Pix, the Garmin perimenopause stuff came a bit late for me, but I just got some Garmin scales, so I'll be watching the bone density numbers carefully. They might not be 100% accurate, but with anything measurable, I think any significant change is worth tracking.

I had tender boobs for quite a while, the doctor recommended evening primrose oil capsules. They either worked or I'm susceptible to placebos (I'm sure we've discussed this before). 😀 Might try stopping them when I've finished the tubs, but got them 3 for 2 at Tesco so I have a few to get through.

I do remember my GP actually suggested EPO when he refused to prescribe me HRT and that had no effect. But this suggestion was from my menopause doctor, in addition to the HRT.

Yeah it's a placebo. I had sore boobs for about a week or so but it got better after another week. Bloody annoying but worth it in the long run

My period actually waited for me to get home from a weekend camping.

Patch one is go. Fingers crossed that it helps.

I get occasional sore boobs for a day or two even though I no longer have a cycle. No idea why.
