Quimby!
well done on day 1 Serrers
Good luck to all seeking/starting their HRT, without this thread and a couple of real life friends I'd still be flushing and sleep deprived and ratty and achey

well said I'm on day 3 of my new combination of drugs! I'm also running more I'm sleeping better this week (according to Garmin) but I'm aware of having weird vivid dreams these last couple of nights.

I’ve gone back to Oestrogel having had Sandrena for a few months as a sub. I know the doses are supposed to be equivalent but I feel I’ve got a bit more energy on the Oestrogel. Not sure if that’s real or placebo!

I’ve just got another 6 months supply of oestrogel and progesterone tablets from my GP this morning. This time I was only charged the £9.35 instead of for a double prescription. I definitely sleep much better now I’ve been taking this for a while.

That’s interesting, Ness. I’ve been paying for a double prescription for oestrogel and progesterone. I bet it’s just different PCT rules

Plus I only get 1 month at a time - need to sort that with my GP, I think!

Ah. I don't know. I spoke to the receptionist last time and asked if she could give my GP a message asking if he'd prescribe 6 months in one go. He didn't reply but when I collected it from the pharmacy the 6 months worth was there. This time I just requested the same again on their electronic system and paid what the dispenser asked for. Maybe I should have paid more. I don't know. Definitely worth asking though. I was getting three months at a time before November last year.

I finally think I'm coming to the end of a 4+ week period. Praise the Lord.
I can't take anything that can stop the bleeding but the end is in sight! I did get my iron levels tested the other day (I feel ok) You can't actually speak to a human at my doctors these days but they sent me a text saying my ferritin levels were low (18) and they've sent supplements to a pharmacy. I googled 18 and it says that's within normal range (although lower end) but no idea if the supplements are anything other than what you can buy for 99p in Tescos.
I stopped taking the sertraline after just a few days because a) I'm not depressed and b) they were giving me heartburn that kept me awake the entire night
I might try it again but with food or something, I just needed some sleep before considering it again I just want normal HRT dammit, my whole life seems currently affected by bleeding and hormones. I mean surely it's not normal to be not able to know if I can leave the house today without being worried about whether I will bleed through my clothes within an hour
