I'm feeling really good other than my right foot where the tendonitis (or is it a possible stress reaction?) has flared back up again. Calves are a little stiff possibly from the hills, quads and hams feel good. After a tired day yesterday feeling much more energetic today.

Planning on taking this week entirely off from running to let the foot recover and ease back into it very gently next week. May do a 10k on 28th October depending on how the recovery is going but it'll be a benchmark race so I have something to work on, there's a series over the winter.

Looking forward to receiving the medal and the T shirt :) Hope everyone's recovery is going well.

I took some ibuprofen in the night as my hips were aching in bed. My left knee has tightness at the back, just as gg described hers, and my ankles are tight when I get up. But I’m fine once I’m up and about.

I'm back! My quads didn't want to play to start with but soon got into it.

Is that the Jersey one? I am considering doing that a lady at running club was asking if anyone fancied it.

I think I’m going to sign up for virtual New York Marathon at the end of the month. Just hoping boris doesn’t bring in any crazy restrictions like not going too far from home

Yes it is, I may join you on the ultra thread - I see you're getting some good advice over there and it would save hijacking this one ;-)

geordiegirl, if those restriction occur, as a WSW-er you always have the option of doing a full marathon in-grid. In my, admittedly advantageous, geographical situation, a full marathon would be similar to the distance needed for a single-run gridmaster

That’s good Frag. Walking sorted my hips and lower back out too :)
