And I agree about not taking any chances with your feet because a small blister-prone area can make or break a marathon.

that's why I kept stopping on sunday! I was trying to prevent blisters haha didn't work!
Right foot all reabsorbed and fine
left foot hurts every now and then depending on how I put my foot down and if I "move the lose skin"

I’m feeling absolutely great. I had a worrying ache/tightness back of leg behind my left knee yesterday and I thought it was a bit swollen. Did some yoga type stretches and a 5k run last night (which I went on feel and it was much pacier than I expected). Of course thought today may be different but up and about and perfectly fine. Even ran back upstairs earlier.

I know it can still sneak up and wipe my legs out but ever hopeful.

I have been doing a lot more S&C type workouts and a lot of them have a yoga feel to them I am sure this has helped.

I managed to get my fuelling right and it made a huge difference to how I felt, I didn’t get the usual nausea and normally I can’t eat after a run but I was fine and yesterday I ate a bit more but not much more.

Now I will add I ran / walked very slow with my friend compared to what would have been my effort but finishing a marathon feeling this good I’m happy with slower!! I’m going to do the route myself sometime and just see how I manage on my own.

Apart from my knackered knee I'm almost back to normal today. Yesterday morning's dog walk was a little challenging but I was much better by the afternoon one.

I'm going to attempt a slow recovery run today. I'm mindful of the fact that I'm doing an ultra in August (never to early to start the base build right?) and should be getting used to sticking some heavy miles in with a lot of back to backs. So a gentle joggle nearly 48 hours later is worth a try.

Much better today, almost back to normal after a good night’s sleep. My left foot has niggles normally and that’s the only place that’s still complaining.

Minardi I have booked a 70miler for June 2022 and working on building now and running on tired legs. I was amazed how well I managed yesterday. Good luck with yours what are you doing?

Great to hear AtC

I'll see how my running is going and how the lockdown situation develops before entering my next planned race, a half marathon on 1st November.

Fizz :-)
I have another virtual marathon in 3 weeks. :-0 But we can take a week to do it, if we need to. Hoping to do it in one shot though.
