Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Let's talk about inaugural parkruns after they've happened.

Hey, can a mod delete my post above if it is clear that prospect is looking for a low key start. Apologies.

Goofee, has the park dried out yet? This thread is the first mention I've seen of the start date so hopefully a lot of the Woodley/ Reading regulars won't know and consequently won't turn up on mass. Good luck by the way

Cheers CW!

Yes, it has dried a lot since you ran the test in January, I have also re-routed slightly to avoid the worst of the bogs (also been round a few times with a measuring wheel as it continues to measure quite long on a lot of gps, but it is easy to stray from the racing line). The web page only went live today so we are hoping we have managed to stay beneath the radar as much as possible.

Prospect Park is on our “must-do” list (but not tomorrow :-))

About This Thread

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
