But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. They could possibly sidestep an issue by calling it "parklauf". Except quite a few things seem to be called "parklauf" already eg cpl-ev.de

Paul Sinton-Hewitt had liked the original facebook parkrun Germany page I linked to before it disappeared which I took to be a good sign :)

There is a "park run" thing in a former Soviet country too (cannot recall which one) which shares only the name.

Last update I saw about Loughborough parkrun dated back to mid April. Something about:- they had a few issues to sort, one had been sorted, and they were just working through the other one and it shouldn't be long now.

I've given up hoping that it is going to be in time for visiting my daughter - she goes from the Uni out on placement next year. Still has to come back to the Uni after her placement year, so who knows, it might actually have happened by then...but then again it might not.

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
