The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Yes, we now (though I can't remember if they were different in the past) have:

parkrun France (hard to tell which language they're using ;))
parkrun Italia
parkrun (but with parkrun.no on the browser tab) for parkrun Norge/Norway
parkrun Polska
parkrun Sverige (but with parkrun Sweden on the browser tab)

Heard about this before our recent trip to Dusseldorf - We were registering for and then running (in! we relayed!) the marathon when they were on so didn't go for a looksee. I know there were some folks who wanted to start a parkrun there a few years back (It's Reading's twin town) and parkrun told them Germany wasn't a priority... maybe they just went off and did it. They vaguely acknowledge parkrun and call it a Park Run. Can't say I blame them if parkrun not interested...

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
