Gymfreak maybe ditch the Thursday bootcamp, and see if that helps. IMHO you're not giving your body enough time to recover.

I think this may be right..... by the time I get to a longer 8ish mile run on a Saturday and then anything up to 100 miles/200k bike on a Sunday, I'm a bit battered, then it starts again Monday morning at 6am.
I probably need to realise I'm not in my 30s any more :p

Shades it absolutely makes sense to ditch the Thurs one, but it's the one I like best :( The social side of that one is brilliant, it's also longer, harder and the one that I feel makes me fittest.

Bike miles naturally drop in winter as I only really go up to 70m, 80m at best as I don't want to ride too long in horrible weather (I refuse to ride in rain as it is!) and the evening hard bike club rides don't happen. There's only a month or so left of 'summer (!!!)' so might see if that makes a difference first because I love the Thurs eve so much. But I'm not loving the constant DOMS!

I am not careful with my diet, definitely don't concentrate on getting enough protein or anything, I also don't help myself here so could also focus on that I suppose, I've got super lazy with it

Gymfreak - in that case drop the Wednesday and Friday sessions for a couple of weeks.

With the extraordinary amount you're doing what you eat to refuel really will matter. Protein and carbs post bootcamp. Need to work on that protein, it's needed to repair your muscles.

After a couple of weeks then see how you feel.

I'll make an effort with it, I'm not great at thinking of 'things' to eat (I even have to use Hellofresh/Gousto for meals as I don't have any brain capacity left to even think about what to have for dinner). My 'refuelling' after the Weds night hard ride is a cocktail at the pub- which just about sums up my level of dietary effort.

I want to feel stronger so I guess that also comes with more effort on my part! Doing it with DOMS all the time probably isn't great for muscles, I honestly thought the DOMS would wear off after a while!

why not try protein drinks or meal replacements GF?
Huel has 40g protein (400c) for a "meal" drink as an example

Oh god meal replacements aren't for me. I like eating :) But yes, protein shakes are an easy fix, I just don't like the idea of all the processed stuff in them. But they are probably an easy answer to just have, I mean 20g protein a day right there without thinking about it

exactly GF
I agree but if you are struggling to get the food in for whatever reason then it's worth looking at
Huel are more "real" than a lot of them I believe and they taste OK from memory

Even just a humble cheese sandwich is a good choice post workout. Won't go 'off ' if it's a warm day.

I wouldn't be so keen on protein shakes or meal replacements, they're all ultra processed.

A bit if batch cooking at home and pop in the freezer much healthier and cheaper.

true shades but convenience wins a lot of the time too!

I run to work with a recovery shake in my bag and drink that as I walk into the building as I know that I will shower change and go straight to my desk and probably not even get to make a drink for almost 2hrs
