Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I was delighted to discover that our holiday cottage has a wooden beam sticking out of the wall at just the right height for me to use for pull ups. I'd already established that the door frames wouldn't take my weight.

That's ideal, Vrap.
I had my first solo play on barbells this morning - no-one using it when I got to the gym. It took me ages to get the bench in position for the bench press. I did bench press and deadlifts. I'll add squats next time.

Perfect Vrap, mind your head on the curtain rail though.

The curtain rail wouldn't be anywhere near my head even if my pull ups were a lot better than they actually are.

I've stopped doing bench presses for now as my tennis elbow is back a bit and I can't seem to bench press without having my wrist in extension, which is what I'm trying to avoid. Will substitute with a floor press.

This was an interesting short listen this morning: bbc.co.uk - the many benefits of lifting weights.

Try not to pull the house down, V’rap. Good job you’re light :-)

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.
