Only one more week of volume training to go! My bones and soul have been starting to hurt :D Have still been pushing some nice little PBs on weights and reps, so I'm excited to see what the next strength phase brings, although slightly terrified of what PT has in store for me (given I've not died, passed out, or outright refused to do anything in this months' plan).

Managed 3 out of 5 singles of log clean & press at 50kg today, with a new PB of 52kg (scrappy and wobbly, but got it over my head). Also finally managed to get an amrap PB of 5 reps in 60 seconds with the 75kg atlas stone to platform. My soul definitely tried to slip out of my body on 140kg farmers today though!

Will blog next week if I survive :)

Oh WOW I_W you are awesome that's some serious lifting there. I'm sure you'll survive (even of your soul doesn't πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚) your PT knows by now just how far they can push you and just look at the results you've been getting too! Keep up the great work 😊

Not feeling great atm and tbh I don't think I really have been for a few days but it's just now its showing its head. Gentle warm up at the gym last night saw me using my inhaler πŸ˜” I carried on though and did the class but struggled with breathing all the way through and had to use my inhaler again during class πŸ˜•.

So anyway about a week ago I managed a one rep max front squat of 50kg, last night I did four reps at 45kg was supposed to be five but failed the fifth however happy with the improvement.
Considering how I felt I was also happy with the 'finisher' 100 KB swings 50 wall balls 75 KB swings 25 wall balls 75 KB swings 50 wall balls 100 KB swings. It's sounds horrible but was actually quite enjoyable. Probably helped by the fact it was a partner workout and we only used the 3kg wall ball instead of the 6kg. We did however use the 16kg kettle bell.

I'm now on the sofa after a two hour nap with sore throat, glands and headache with a little lightbulb over my head about having to use my inhaler and feeling so rough... yup I'm guessing I am actually poorly 🀧.

So anyway..... that front squat looks ripe for picking when I'm feeling better 😊

Note to self, don’t wear a zip up front fastening bra when on an upper body day, especially using the lat pull down machine!
