Thank you peeps 😊
Practiced hand stand stuff last night. I stood there for about 5 mins trying to talk myself into doing one against the wall. Eventually I worked out I'm less nervous if my hands are closer to the floor than going from stood upright. So I bent over and went for it. I got up into handstand position more and (because we were supposed to be doing handstand pushups!!) I decided to try the descending part and failed. Decided I wasn't giving in though and got out some plates to reduce the distance. Started with a 10kg & 15kg plate and got down to 2x10kg plates before my shoulders started getting too tired (end of class practice) Looks like we are on strength building now as we are doing more and more lifting. Mon and Thurs are heavy squats. Last night we were to establish our 80% range for 5 reps. I totally misunderstood the instructions (normal for me 🙄) so I was doing sets of 3 instead of 5 to begin with. Once I realised I did sets of 5. Instructions were to work 'up to heavy weight' I honestly haven't lifted heavy for so long I've forgotten what my weight was so I just carried on putting on weight. I got to 5 x 55kg and felt really happy until coach said you did 3 sets didn't you? Errr was I supposed to do 3 sets thought we were working up to heavy..... Anyway we'd ran out of time so he asked how it felt... I said 'heavy' 😂 probably and 8/10 effort so ge said OK that's fine remember that weight that's your weight for Thursday 😣 Curiosity got to me about the weight so I went to the board and looked. My previous one rep max is 65kg so I'm hoping if I get to practice for one rep max again I can improve on that 🤞

Well done, DQ
I’ve achieved a couple of PBs this week that I’m pleased with. I’ve not had many PBs post back injury.

I've had a really poor week at the gym this week. Technique gone to bits, snatch all over the place fitness plummeting. So today I thought I need something..... I haven't tried my one rep max deadlift for ages so off I went. Started lowish and built up quickly so I didn't tire too quickly and got myself a pb 😊 110kg rest of the workout was 💩 but I left with something to be proud of today at least
