Thanks all. Rest of my workout was a bit pants though πŸ˜‚ I do know I can deadlift though hence why I did it to cheer myself up πŸ˜‰

Nice work EB.

Went back to the gym for the first time since the end of October on Thursday. I came to the realisation I'll need to just go for a few weeks regardless of how I feel when the time comes (within sensible limits of course).

I think I'm missing consistent strength work at the end of XC races.

Thanks everyone. I am probably the least intimidating person at the gym Vrap. Max it's just a shame I'm a bit pants on everything else atm though πŸ˜‚

Deadlift is probably the only place I am strong at tbf. I am working on my back squat though and I've just progressed to 50 kg for 5 reps. When I see some of the girls doing 90kg I kinda feel like why am I bothering πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ My overhead squat is only 25kg BUT I do enjoy it even if I'm not great at it πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ and hopefully it will help me retain some bone strength too!

That's impressive EB.
It's personal challenge week at my gym this week so some pretty big weights getting lifted at my lunchtime session today!!! Not by me though but was happy to do 4 sets of 6x37kg deadlifts.

Just over halfway on my 30 day trial and really enjoying it. Sessions are never the same but follow same routine of warm up, mobility, strength then cardio, often working in teams of two and there are never more than 4 people to each coach.

DD - that’s exactly the same format as my gym. I love it. It’s the only gym I’ve ever been a member at for over a year and still go to every week 2-3 times. Even when I CBA to go, I go. (Like today)

Can hardly lift my arms today!! Had a pilates class at night and we were doing a lot of arm work with bands. All good though, it feels good to have DOMs again after not running much lately :)

Yeah, you need to cut that "Why am I bothering?" shit out of your language. It serves nobody, least of all you when you're lifting. It has no place when lifting weights.

I am giving you my sternest PT face, just so you know.
