Hello all. Very much a lightweight as far as lifting is concerned, but I have joined a new gym and been working with a female ex body builder friend who is now an instructor there. After years if being very frustrated about not being able to push press more than 2.5kg in her body builder based pump class she had me push pressing 10kg! That was in the 3rd class I had done with her.

I am still in shock I think, but going back for more tonight although I won't be moving up weight wise for a wee while. It's amazing what proper technique and breathing can do :)

Nice to see you Corrah. All welcome here!

That's one of the brilliant things about serious* weight/resistance training. With some good tuition you really do make visible progress fairly quickly. So good on yer gal! xxx

Thanks for the lively welcome Sharkie. Hopefully another class tonight but it's meant to be full so not sure if I will be able to squeeze in. If not will play with some weights anyway :)

That's ace Corrah! It definitely helps having someone knowledgeable to point you in the right direction - I wouldn't have dreamt of doing any of what I'm doing now if it hadn't been for Duncan (PT) :)

Just back from class tonight. Just loving it. Different to anything I have done before. :)
