🤔🤔🤔🤔 Did Fraser really fully lock out on all his muscle ups........ Maybe it was just the camera angle.

A friend and I have been talking about doing an entry level fitness instructor/PT qualification. We are gym buddies and want to understand more about anatomy, how to construct training programmes etc so that we can be more independent in constructing our own training schedule.

Neither of us intend to make it into a job, but are both quite nerdy and like to understand theory! We're also both getting to an age where we're more worried about injury prevention than we were! Has anyone done anything similar, or can recommend a qualification/training centre?

Wow! For £25 you'd be crazy not to. I might sign up for that...

On a separate note, my PT does occasional women's weightlifting classes on a Saturday morning called Ladies Who Lift. Just noticed it's the same name as the thread, because I'm slow like that :-(

This Saturday will be my first one after setting some lifting PBs at bootcamp last week - but I reckon I can go heavier because I managed more than one rep...

I'm very weak 😒

But after a painful hour of sports massage last night I've booked a PT session for next week

PT is amazing (won outlaw iron distance Tri twice) but not close so I don't see him much. He does my massage and I've seen him on and off for 10+ years

Time to be a little more serious!

I go to The Gym in Reading town centre, open 24 hours a day, lots of free weights and benches stations etc, lots of CV kit, and about 40 classes a week included.

£17.99 a month

Changing rooms are fine too

I bit the bullet and did a trial CrossFit session last night. I really enjoyed it, even though my pull up efforts were pretty pathetic. I somewhat redeemed myself on the 400m runs at least...

(It helped that the instructor was extremely attractive. And friendly. Good combination!)

About This Thread

... a weights wire for women.

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.

Here's a strength standards for women thing Duracel found for us
