Nice work EB!

(I was off due do anemia and an intestinal infection...shit happens... I could still train clients hard, and it was a lesson in patience for me as my own client)

I think I'll be posting in here a lot more over the next few weeks - on a deload week this week (with a little holiday to London on Thursday for a few days!). Then the hard work will really begin - PT sent me my new routines in the ramp up to next comp in July :O!

Hello, just discovered this by chance, do you think lifting would help my back? I already do yoga, pilates and physio but it still flares every 6 weeks or so. Wondering if even more strength training would help?

What's the situation with your back, 1s2f? I know you've blogged about it, but can you summarise?

Short version- 2 slipped discs in 2017 (L3 and 4 I think. I can't remember off hand) with a bit of scoliosis. It's the SI joints that seem to start things off- a twist out of place here or there and then they aggravate everything else. I stopped the pain killers, only need them when everything kicks off (Like yesterday!)

My core is stronger than it's ever been but it still doesn't seem enough- looking at what else I can try.

I'm very much in favour of strength training and it would be well worth considering, 1s2f. Have you got access to a gym where you could have personal coaching initially to make sure your technique and rate of progression are safe and appropriate?
