That does sound very exciting Duracell.

September is traditionally the 'holiday' month for me as a sprinter, so no track or weights for a while before it all starts again with a vengeance in October.

However, although (probably) will obey the NO TRACK rule for the compulsory fortnight I'm thinking of easing myself back into the resistance work.

I think my one bit of end of season success is partly down to increased upper body strength and motor control.

I got my third javelin PB this year. Another half metre or more.

Last year I was 28th in the national age group rankings this year I'm 15th! Sunday's throw didn't actually move me up a position but I'm hoping to alter that before the year is over.

Hence a bit more strength would not go amiss.

Another 1.10 metres would get me top 10... there's a challenge!

Very exciting, Duracell gorilla

I'm not lifting at all at the moment. It would be counterproductive. But I may do a few months of regular resistance work over the winter.

Good luck Duracell

Good luck Duracell.
My new PT seems to be more about functional fitness and I've not done much weight stuff but he is trying to get me to pull myself up on a pair of bars. It must be quite comical to see as I have to stand on some strong elastic and he helps stabilise me. I'll be interested to see if it ever works. ;-)

Good luck, Duracell.

I'm still lifting weights but didn't do any bench pressing or deadlifting while I was on my cruise. Gradually getting back into it.

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.
