ssssh - I'm going to buy some wool this morning Small Boy's balaclava needs starting if he's going to get it before next summer and I appear to have only a single 50g ball of black DK as it's not lovely fancy stuff, John Lewis will do |

aaaah, nicki, no wonder i couldn't see it!!! i was just going to use glue for the mosaics but was unsure how messy it was all going to get because i want to use small pieces of paper. will your son wear wool, hb? my son only needs to look at wool or wool mix and he starts itching! makes him cheap to buy for tho |

My sleeve fits! Woohoo! I would never have thought of shaping the top the way it is shaped in the pattern and was quite worried, but it's a miracle of engineering |

It's only a little toddler sized stocking stitch sleeve so should take no time at all, RD

Glad you like your new stash rd The Mod Podge can be brushed on with a foam brush onto the background and should be easier for smaller mosaic pieces then Right off to post office to send V'raps wool now -just wrapped it all up and then found a ball of escaped wool on my desk..doh! |

I must post a photo of the throw I finished at the start of this year. I had a photo of the earlier part here
. It now is about a foot longer and weighs a ton! It is warm though...will be good this winter! It started off as balls of wool from John Lewis about 15 years ago, if not more, that were made into a couple of things I didn't like, unravelled, then eventually got around to making this last winter. |

well that was frustrating! all I wanted was 100g of bog standard DK in black John Lewis had the patons diploma gold which would have been perfect in every colour except black all they had in black was some very nasty 100% acrylic for £1.50 for 100g I've ended up spending 10 quid on some 100% merino which is far too good for what I want hmmmph |
