London Nici
Quietly sneaking in here ....

Lockdown version 53 so I have decided to try and be more active in here and I arrive mid sewing discussion!

Zero talent there .. anything I sew looks like a drunk dog has attacked it repeatedly with a pitchfork.

If you need me, I'll be over here in the corner stabbing myself in the eye with dpns.

Ooooh! Did I make your ears burn, Nici? WL has just kindly gifted me a copy of your Escape beanie pattern and I'll be having a go as soon as I've finished the hat that's currently on my needles.

Awesome!! Can't wait to see it.

I'm currently being technically challenged by trying to update my name and an picture on here. I no longer live in London and that picture is 8 years old (miss that hair colour though!)

I love your escape beanie pattern, nici. It looks more complicated than it is so it made me look like a competent knitter, not the novice that I am 😁

Given it has taken me 4 attempts to get passed 4 rows of another chevron blanket I'm not attempting anything I that is new!

I've had failures due to Ozzy, Ozzy and the inability to do KFB when it says KFB and not K2T and vice versa

I don't want to alarm anyone, but over Christmas I was experimenting with brioche.

It's rather fun (after getting 50+ rows in and ripping back to the beginning several times becase I've no idea how to tink it effectively).

Would like to try brioche, as well as double knitting.

I’m definitely a process knitter i like to try new things. A number of people have done the CAL I’m doing in all four colourways and are planning more, I can’t see why I’d remake the same thing!

I quite enjoy doing brioche. When I'm in knitting mode I want to knit all the things at once. Which is unwise.

I bought a book on brioche about 4 years ago, and have yet to try and knit anything from it. One day, perhaps?

The double-knit tiger scarf I did last summer for DD2 has completely cured me of wanting to do any more of that.
