Took me 2.5 hrs to cast on and knit 3 rows of your hat pattern V’rap. I think it’ll be summer before I get this finished if I even get that far 😂

I was about three rows up my second one when I discovered I'd got it twisted when joining in the round and had to rip it all out and start again. The temptation just to do a normal thumb cast-on was strong.

I couldn’t do it on the round needles they were too long and I’m left handed and I couldn’t understand how to make it round.

This is a proper challenge.

The round needles need to have 40cm cords otherwise it'll just go all silly.

They were like as long as my arm. The ends of the wool didn’t get within 2 metres of each other .. it was dramatic

I put £3.70 in my swear box. By Christmas I’ll be able to buy a wool shop and all its stock outright.

When such things are normal again, I vote we have another Fetchie crafty meet but in Beanie’s place of work - we’ll help her knit her hat and laugh together until it hurts.

You’ll all die laughing. But I’ve actually knitted 2 rows now in straight needles although I’m not sure what size they are. This could end up as a trouser leg.
