Mostly for small projects like wallets/ purse.

But I do get 1 m of this to make a tote bag...

I only have five bobbins and they’re not standard - was going to go to my local sewing machine shop to try to get more but then lockdown happened.

How useful is a dressmakers dummy? And if I want one, what should I look out for?

I'm in the middle of a project at the moment and can't help feeling a dummy would make it easier - - it's not easy seeing how it hangs on yourself and pinning it in the right place!

There are various people online making their own. Seems to involve wrapping themselves in duct tape until there's a good thick layer then slicing it off and rejoining and stuffing it....
