I only have five bobbins and they’re not standard - was going to go to my local sewing machine shop to try to get more but then lockdown happened.
Thank you Meglet for the model number.

How useful is a dressmakers dummy? And if I want one, what should I look out for?
I'm in the middle of a project at the moment and can't help feeling a dummy would make it easier - - it's not easy seeing how it hangs on yourself and pinning it in the right place!

Mine is called Douglas and was a John Lewis special offer. It’s adjustable which means I can make it to my or Girl’s measurements

There are various people online making their own. Seems to involve wrapping themselves in duct tape until there's a good thick layer then slicing it off and rejoining and stuffing it....
