dear clever crafty people why does Lush stuff have a use by date on it? Is it still OK to use beyond that? (just found some shampoo/shower bar thing in cupboard!)

EP. It depends on what it is. If it is a lotion or cream with water in the composition it will need a use by date. Solid bar soap or synthetic detergent bars by law need a sell by date on them but, like some food items, I wouldn't worry about it too much, if it lathers it'll be fine. It might not smell as strongly as when you bought it but that might not be a bad thing.

Found 2
a solid shampoo
and a "fun" shower bar that can also be broken up for bubble bath/washing clothes

I'm guessing they will be fine

Patrick Grant from the Sewing Bee has put up some easy to use patterns for masks - I made the complex one and found it easy to do. Its a little wide for my small face but MrFrag's was fine :-) I also used a couple of hairbands instead of elastic or tapes/ties.
