I'm half way through my tenth hat since the beginning of October. I decided that I'd knit a hat for everyone for Christmas this year, and in fact have added people to the gift list that I have an official amnesty with, as I've really got the bit between my teeth. I've also just finished a cardigan for myself, which I'm very pleased with. Photos will follow once I've got my act together.

I'm finding knitting very therapeutic at the moment. It really helps to calm me down and de-stress, which goodness knows I need.

I was thinking of crocheting something for a friend/colleagues 2.5 year old for Christmas. I would go for a hat or blanket, except Christmas is summer here, and I am completely at a loss for toddler-summer things. Any ideas?

Maybe a toy if you don't mind doing amigurumi?

Thanks jk -- I'm really enjoying the brioche.

This is a decent Miffy impersonation: ravelry.com . I haven't made it but it's on my list of things to try as presents.

I knitted a unicorn for my niece last Christmas (she's in NZ), she was about 2y8m at the time. It's become her favourite toy & goes everywhere with her. So if you'd like to make something, I'd definitely recommend a cuddly toy!
