Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Chuffed to find this morning that a facebook group I'm a member of (Archers fans who also like crafting - it's a bit niche!) has chosen to feature one of my projects as its cover photo. It was a blanket I made mainly to use up acrylic aran left over from a load that that I'd specifically bought for another blanket and I didn't want it hanging around.

It's a small thing I made for the cat, who's inevitably ignoring it.

Fantastic, SK!

Cats are SO like that. Knit them a blanket, they'll ignore it or pee on it. Leave a cashmere jumper out on a shelf you think the cat can't reach, and as soon as you turn your back it'll be on the floor under the cat.

HB, it's called Upstairs in the Craft Room (an offshoot of a closed group called Upstairs at The Bull).

I've stuck it on Ravelry now: ravelry.com

Love it, SK!

I've seen another Skittles blanket highlighted somewhere on Ravelry in the last few days and can't remember where it was. It's such an effective design.

I've got a baby jacket blocking and have had an enquiry from a colleague about "if I ever knit clothes for baby dolls". Having established that the size needed is "3-5lb prem" I might just have a play with some tiny things.

I'm going to do another CAL in January & February: attic24.typepad.com .

Although it's stripey, which makes me think about lots of ends to deal with, I know I can do a border which involves just crocheting over the ends to tidy them up rather than weaving them all in.

Oooh I didn't see there were two versions: I just looked at the (sold out) colour pack and have ordered a ball of each one there from another site. Though one of the colours was down to the final ball in stock so I just hope it turns up!

I am going to do it double size and suspect it will be adopted by my daughter, who looked at it and loved the colours.

Yes, the same colours, but one will be more random stripes and the other will have colours closer together, she's doing a blog with details soon, it will have a hidden file in it so people who don't want to see the two will be able to avoid seeing it. attic24.typepad.com In this blog post there's a bit about it, however I do know there will be real pictures coming up as a few of my friends have made both versions for her and oh my, it's gorgeous and swayed me into making it!
