Every half-finished-fit-of-optimism piece of cross stitch has been thrown out along with two black sacks full of other crap. My fabric stash is neatly folded and in a trunk. And I discovered so many half packs of Christmas cards we won’t need to buy any for a couple of years. Space has been created, photos framed and hung and my pin-board sorted. It’s a calm space now and I can sit here without having to ignore encroaching mess that was stressing me out. And I know how much stuff I have, which is quite alarming.
