Also she's a bright young thing, the challenge was in setting it up, I suspect she's now bored much of the time. I was wondering whether it would work if several people bought it between them

My friend runs a haberdashery and does sewing classes too.

The classes are almost more profitable than the shop :-(

Yes I think they have to do classes and socials because selling yarn doesn't earn much, espresso when it's cheaper online.

Quick question crafters.
If you're knitting a cardigan for a baby of unknown gender, which side would you do the buttonholes?

I'd put them on the left. People tend to be less bothered about putting a girl in boys' clothes than about putting a boy in girls' clothes :)

I'd put them on the side the mum will find easiest to do up when dressing the baby. So as a right handed person I would prefer to have the holes in my right hand, the left side as the baby is wearing the cardigan.

Struggling to find shorts with the non slip rubber edge to the leg. Would sock stop work? You know the stuff you put on you socks to stop them slipping?
