I can't quite get my brain to work out the numbers for a steek to work all the way down, and to keep the reverse stocking stitch, I'd have to reverse all the cabling and my brain can't cope. I've got a couple of weeks with not much else to do, so I'm sure it will be good for me It's this one ravelry.com |

Nice, HB! I can see how that would be fiddly to work out in the round and with the "wrong" side as the right side. Easier just to do the purling.

I need to crack on with some girl-baby stuff. I've got a little grey cardigan on the needles, but it's not a colour I'd give to someone else for their daughter, and the buttonholes are on the wrong side.

Lovely HB... tempted myself except I need to destash a bit first rather than start new stuff! V'rap can't you add pink accents? Pink and grey very "now" apparently plus button holes really? I'm not starting anything new until I've finished some bits... (and finished my assignments and dissertation!) I did finish a wee phone case for a chum and my mums Christmas present (last year not this year!) |

I need some help please ? I started this ravelry.com about 7 or 8 years ago (!) using lovely New Lanark wool. I got the main pieces done, up until halfway through the second sleeve and then was daunted by the 2 2 rib trim/collar and didn't pick it up again. Seeing HB's link I remembered this project and unpacked it - to find the moths have been at it I've darned the holes and they don't look too bad - and washed the pieces and they haven't fallen apart in the machine. So today I'm just finishing of the second sleeve. The problem is that the remaining wool, apart from the ball I'm using has been shredded by the moth larvae - it's unusable . I'm going to make this up without the trim ( which I didn't fancy doing anyway) but am wondering how to finish it off ? looking at the website newlanarkshop.co.uk I think the wool is still available, but I'd need to remember what the shade is called and it would probably not be a very good match. I really can't bring myself to bin this, even though it will probably be (3 stone) too big |

I think New Lanark do a shade card which might help, if it was a bad match you could knit it anyway and then over dye the whole thing? As for the edging, you could just do a plain garter border, or if you don't mind it not meeting in the middle an applied icord would work |

Thought so newlanarkshop.co.uk You might be able to see which it is without having to send for the card |

Can't help there I'm afraid but I can bounce excitedly as I now have my sewing machine! I've read the user guide and put everything to 1 side confused! 🤔 |

Ness
That is something I am tempted to buy. For now I just go over to Mum's and borrow hers when I need it.

It's very clever Ness - one step button holes, zipper foot, self threading and 20 different stitches just to name a few features. No wonder I'm scared and confused!
