They are beautiful.

I'm really shocked about the fleeces :(

In general, our local sheep also have fleeces that aren't suitable for anything other than packaging/insulating material or flooring.

I wasn't looking at the janome 4440 at £109 with loads of stitches, different feet and a 1 step buttonhole.

Nor did I look at a John Lewis machine at £20 less with less stitches and a 4 step buttonhole.

Such a shame about the fleeces

Has anybody got Debbie Abrahams 'more blankets and throws' book? I'm looking for the pattern for afternoon tea.

Have promised Teen 1 a blanket to take to uni with her (not until sept 2017 but need to get ahead, considering I've only just finished my 2013 mystery blanket!)

So, I am "patiently" waiting for the first firing to finish in my lovely new kiln....
It's agonising!

Kiln!?! Lining yourself up for the throw down programme!!

Told husband I'm going to get a sewing machine- he didn't laugh and I'm sure he said OK!
I think I'll get the £110 janome from hobby craft - get a lesson in usage too then!

Hah! No throwdown for me, as I don't throw! 'Slabdown' doesn't sound quite so good. I need to find more ways to distract me from waiting. I've done a Park run, put the washer on. What else can I do until it's time to unload the kiln? ??
BTW, a new sewing machine is always fun. I really liked my janome ☺
