DQ - those anxiety dreams with raised heart rate are familiar to me. Sometimes several a night. I find them exhausting. The actual dreams tend to be 'task dreams' where a continuing task seems to develop in increasingly bizarre ways until I wake.

Last night I listened to my hypnosis twice and both times I went into hypnosis and as soon as it ended I was awake again.
I started to get incredibly angry at my husband sleeping and breathing too loudly and snoring.
Yet again I have to get up feeling like I've not been to sleep that feeling of a hangover when I haven't had a drop is so frustrating.
It's always short lived. Get a little period of ok sleep then it goes back to normal.
I have tried so much stuff, but I am exhausted so I might have to give in and get a pack of tabs from the GP it sometimes breaks the cycle and I can at least get a good few nights.
Work is tough so I suspect I hold anxiety over that which won't help.
Scrap the cherry juice idea then 🤣🤣🤣

I had to give in and take a Nytol last night, still woke up a few times but was able to tell myself I'd had a tablet and would get back to sleep and I did. Slept deeply from 4 until 7.30 and feel hungover now.

Mine too GP. One that I recall was trying to push a buggy up an increasingly narrow rocky ravine trying to get to Paris airport!
Nytol does nothing for me either I'm afraid and my gp won't give me anything as my problem is staying asleep and tabs only help you fall asleep apparently ☹

- that's what they told me too.
I don't have a problem falling asleep as long as I feel sleepy enough to go to bed and don't think "I'll have an early night" and go before I'm ready - though sometimes I leave it too long and fall asleep on the sofa. Staying asleep is another matter - too hot, too cold, need a wee, husband snoring/restless . someone's outside light goes on/ hear the milkman/ anxiety dreams - whatever wakes me up - I struggle to drop off again.
- not drinking doesn't help either, was told it makes a big difference to waking, but it just takes longer to feel sleepy and get to sleep.

That's odd that the gp won't help with staying asleep I was under the impression tamazepam and zopidem were for that use?

I'm already on Citalopram so maybe the two don't mix?

Oh yes maybe that's why a side effect of citalopram is insomnia. I was on it at some point.
I've gone down the no mediation for anything route at the moment and using kinnesiology to rebalance all hope in time sleep will be a resolution of that. Long process tho!
