In all honesty I don't think there is an answer. I've suffered for 20 years with this and never really found a resolution. I have been working with a kinnesiologist which has helped a bit but that's deep stuff which needs fixing before it will be a long term cure.

I think most insomniacs have done everything in the books and what is advised and still struggle there's something within us that doesn't allow our brains to let us stay or go to sleep.

I hope that in time my kinnesiology appointments will have a positive effect as I am starting to see many good effects from it, but it's expensive.

I made a rather epic mistake. The son text and asked if I wanted a Costa!! I got all excited not had one in a while so he grabbed me my fav a skinny sugar free caramel latte.. what was I thinking!!!! I don't drink coffee as a general rule and I am literally buzzing on the caffeine. I won't sleep tonight 🤦

Hahaha nope I eventually nodded off somewhere after 2.30 but hubby didn't wake to his watch alarm vibrate meaning his back up loud alarm woke me at 4.35 I couldn't go back to sleep after that.

I struggled through school today and went on the reward trip (walk locally) refreshing.

Training this afternoon which was hard work given technology wanted to fail me.

And have had my covid vaccine this evening. Arms aching and I feel super sleepy so I'm hoping I'll get some sleep tonight.

Does anyone sleep any better at the weekend?

I have no idea what day it is most of the time since I stopped working and it's even worse now that OH has gone onto a 3 day week, working 7am to 6pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday so even he doesn't have the traditional weekend now!

This week has been thrown into even more disarray by son developing a severe corneal ulcer so I have been his taxi driver between optician and eye clinic most of yesterday. Today has been a total CBA day and I'm heading off to bed soon, though that means me waking about 2am probably!

Oh no I'm sorry to hear about your son and his ulcer that sounds really horrid.

When I used to work in hospital I never knew what day of the week it was. My insomnia for horrific when I worked shifts including nights. I think that's where it got so bad that there was no way forward 🤣

Too much on my mind to waste time sleeping. But the prospect of slumber is so appealing.

I'd hoped a carb free day would help with sleep - suggests it could help.. well I've been in bed 3 hours listened to four different hypnosis tracks all which annoyed me. Shouted at hubby I was going to murder him if he didn't stop snoring.. then started talking to myself. " Prison is not worth it" over and over again and I currently feel like I'm loosing the plot.

I am so tired.

Every little noise I can hear is annoying me.
