That's good news Nellers! I've got health insurance through work and have found it really beneficial over the years, my most recent scan was an estimated 6-8 month wait through the NHS but through the insurance it was done and dusted within 2 weeks. Hope you get a quick diagnosis and receive the necessary treatment 👍

36 minutes @ r18 this morning. 8.1km nice and easy. Back to really enjoying the rowing, which is a good thing!

2 x 15 minutes @ r20 this morning. Sounds like very little rowing on paper but with warm up and down this clocked about 12km. There are going to be a lot of metres rowed if I stick with this plan!

Nice work Nellers, are you trying a different plan or is it one you've done before? I'm getting more metres in this week - no work getting in the way 😁 |

Being off work does help doesn't it Craggy. It's one from the Rathburn guide, which I thought was in the wiki but I couldn't see it so I've added it now. The one I've picked is an "off the shelf" plan with 4-6 sessions per week. It sets out which ones to drop if you're cutting back from 6 to 5 or to 4. It also cycles through a light/ medium/ heavy weeks rotation so has relative rest built in. If you want to have a look I've rather optimistically filled it into my training plan on here. fetcheveryone.com/training-plan.php |

Looks good Nellers, there's a nice mix of sessions there and the light/medium/heavy weeks are a good idea! Those six weeks of low rate UT1/UT2 will build a very strong base before moving onto the AT sessions. And it's all in minutes which is what you like, I prefer to see meters counting down although it wouldn't be hard to translate minutes to metres. I might have a closer look at it once I've finished debating whether to train for a marathon whilst Angie is training for the Manchester marathon 😂 Good luck with your plan mate I'll look forward to following your progress 💪 |

The plan as laid out by Rathburn only had a 3 week UT1/2 block so I've actually repeated that as it didn't feel like enough for me, and it's not like I'm working to a plan to peak for a specific race at this stage.

Morning all. Last row of the year done, 2 x 6000 m at UT2 hr. First one was marginally ahead of last time, second marginally behind, so I guess I was treading water for this one. What are our resolutions for the New Year? I'm hoping for 1,000,000 metres on the erg and 1,000 miles running. The former is doable, the latter, well I dunno but I'll have a go. |

Yes good idea Nellers, I'm sure you'll benefit from those extra 3 weeks! Well done Muttley and they are good targets for 2022! I rowed 1265 miles (just over two mill metres) and ran 79 miles this year, I'll be on zero miles for running next year so hopefully I'll row more, but I'd just like to be more consistent as I tend to have a few lazy months and then I'm back to square one fitness wise (might be difficult as I have a real love/hate relationship with my erg 😂) Happy new year everyone! |

Off the mark for 2022 ( and session 6 of the week) with 3 x 12 minutes @ r20. Starting to feel a bit of accumulating fatigue today but no rowing planned for tomorrow so hopefully I’ll be sorted before I go again on Monday.
