Autumn has definitely arrived here in the subtropical wonderland of Cornwall. Pass on the running this morning and have a bash on the machine instead. 3 x 2,000 metres at 22 then 24 spm per 1k in each. A decent medium-effort session.

Nice one Muttley.

I've got a couple of days off work so I've done 3 x 1500m @ threshold pace this morning. Much easier doing this stuff in the shed at 14C than in the summer!

Yesterday's little sesh means I just pipped Stilton to 3rd place in the league last month, which is gratifying :-)

I've been puzzling over why my pace is so slow in the league table. I think it's because when I do intervals the rest/stop period is including in the average pace for the session. I mean I know I'm not fast, but I'm not that not fast!

Will keep a closer eye in the table Mutley. 🤫
Enjoying getting back to rowing but can only do every other day at the moment.
Pete plan is going well but 3 sessions a week is enough.
Not sure if it’s right or not but I separate the timed row from the warm up and cool down metres.

And after a couple of lazy days I'm off the mark for this month with an hour at an easy UT2 pace. A good day for it cos outside it was, as we say in these 'ere parts, pissendown.

Gah, calf has blown again, big time. More physio expense lies ahead. Can't see any running for several weeks, given that walking is painful. However, 5,000 m slow on the good old erg seems not to have made anything worse so there is hop for some cardio at least.

That's a bugger, Muttley. Good that you can manage some rowing though. Just take it easy and don't make it worse!
