You're progressing nicely Nellers, how's your back now?

That's a good CTC Jef and a nice improvement on your first attempt, I bet that stung a bit towards the end!

I rested on Weds (no time with football kicking off at 6pm!) then yesterday I was sick so missed another day, did an easy 5k tonight so I need to average just under 10k per day to complete the 200k holiday challenge.

I did the final 150m of a 5k at around 1.43 pace the other night and my knee felt a little strange afterwards, so no sprinty stuff for me just yet, but thankfully it's ok on the long steady stuff.

Back is holding up fine so far Craggy. I'm not pushing my luck with anything sprinty either though so we're probably in similar situations (except I couldn't hit a 1:43 pace!).

That's good to hear mate, it pays to be patience after an injury, I'm quite enjoying the enforced base building tbh.
Haha I hit 1:43 but my hr went through the roof so I'm glad I didn't decide to push it with 500m to go... or even 250m 😂

Nice work on the CTC Jef. My erg is in the shed and I think I was coughing for a couple of days after my last attempt.

Through 200k for the holiday challenge. Will back off a bit next week and maybe get some Christmas shopping done instead.
I do have the week off, so maybe thinking off a one off longer row.

Nice metres sinj. I think I hit the 200,000 today after only finding out about the challenge a few days ago.

Fast closing in on the 20 million life time metres from 2005 to now .. with a couple of years out.

I would be surprised if anyone didn’t recommend Concept2 SoaPR but I have no experience of any others. They are very tough and C2’s customer service is brilliant.

Well done Jef.

SoaPM - concept 2 all the way. You may have to join a waiting list at the moment if you want a new one. 2nd hand prices are hugely inflated as well.

New - £850-900
2nd - £400-500 depending on spec.

Model D and E are current. E is slightly higher off the ground and has a fixed monitor arm. D stores away in a smaller space.
Model C are still a good buy.

Monitor - PM5 on new ones. Has blue tooth connection for a quickly growing app market.
Monitors can be upgraded if you only get a PM3 or 4, if you want to.

Son of a Pronator Man.

C2 is really the only way to go.

You can get one 10 years old and they are still bomb proof. They can be connected to the web. You can compete around the world. .. they are used by most Olympic teams. 🤗
