Yeah, it's starting to Jef. I'm getting the pace and distance at low rate. HR is still higher than it should be but that's going to come down with a bit of time on the slide.

That's a strong session Jef, I remember doing that workout on the Pete plan, the penultimate rep is always hard mentally on those sort of sessions, you hit a good pace though looks like you're in fine shape! Progressing well Nellers, I wouldn't worry about the hr as you say it'll soon come down, good to see you back up to 10k distance though! I did an enjoyable 20k this morning made up of 6k@r20, 5k@r22, 4k@r24, 3k@r26 & 2k@r28 with 2 min rests. Did the 6k at 2:12 pace then reduced the pace by 4 secs/500m on each rep so finished with the 2k at 1:56 pace, all done whilst watching a bit of a naff film which reminds me I still need to watch the final 7 minutes! |

Haha well the rest periods were enjoyable anyway π My backside was ok but my feet turned a bit cold as I was outside in the back garden, I'll have to invest in some thermal socks! |

Did a 50 minute @r18 on sunday and felt OK, then this morning I've done another 45r18, the same as the one on Friday when my HR was relatively high. 50m further today and HR was 7 beats lower. I'm not sure if this is progress (seems very rapid if it is) or whether Friday was a blip and I was knackered/ill/dehydrated or something. Ah well, today felt better, easier, smoother and more controlled, which is good considering I did some heavier lifting last night and my shoulders are telling me about it this morning! |

Any mitigating factors Nellers ? More/less sleep? Any stresses ... room temperature ? Fed or fasted ? ... or just how much you had generally moved around that day.. underlying fatigue. I tend to only compare like for like over a period of at least a month as HR seems to fluctuate so much. Nice metres π |

Had a 3rd go at the December c2ctc.com challenge for Sub7irc. Find this short stuff so painful. Coughing like a full 2km effort. |

I think itβs the sum total age of the Gee Crew Team. c2ctc.com I did row it bad π the Erg needed to be fastened down. Had to slow from the 40 s/m as the Erg felt like it was on slides ! |

Royal Flush Positive Splits! Still, you slowed down to faster than my top speed! Oh and I've no idea why the previous session would have felt so different from the one on Tuesday but the next 45r18 on Thursday morning felt rough a a badger's chuff and had the higher HR again so I reckon I'm just not trained enough to be consistent yet. |
