Just dredged up my one and only ever 5k row from January this year. A pitiful 27m07secs. I will be aiming to better this during lockdown as I feel I am fitter now than I was then 🤞

Good to have you back amongst us Sinj, but make sure you don't make any of those aches and pains worse!

EB: Nothing pitiful about that for a 5k, but I'll bet you can take a few minutes off it by regular metres on the rower. Have you seen the "Rowvember" thing on Dark Horse Rowing? Might be good for motivation.

Oh gawd don't give me something else to do 😂 I'm starting a pull up programme with athleanX, doing ab workout 5 days a week from Kari Pearce on top of a lot of skills practice and WOD's from crossfit in a desperate aim to still be able to complete a class after lockdown!
(I might sneak a little look though need to keep myself busy!)

Those Kari Pearce abs workouts look brutal! But then have you seen her abs? She knows what she's doing.

They are but they are fun too. I'm mainly doing level one with some exceptions like wall walks I know I can do. I really enjoyed the hollow rock to arch to hollow again rolls made me feel like I was a little girl again 😂

Tried to do a "Transport" session last night. The plan (more of a vague intention at this stage than a plan!) said 4 x 4 minutes @ r28/ 2 minutes recovery.

So first off 2 minutes isn't enough recovery for me. I did the first 2 and thought I was in danger of actual death! reset and gave myself maybe 90 seconds of gasping then 2 and a half minutes of easy rowing, reset again and did a third 4 minute piece. I held rate fairly well but pace was dropping and I called it after that third piece.

But I'm off the mark again and back into doing "sessions" for the next few weeks.

Plan tonight was to row for an hour. Gave up after 15 mins and did this months C2CTC instead.

Row 1min with 2mins rest
2mins with 2mins rest
3mins with 2mins rest
2mins with 2mins rest
1min to finish.

Went off conservatively which I was glad of during that penultimate 2 mins.
2591m sticks me comfortably in the top half at the moment.
I gave up on the warm down after 3 minutes.

Nice session sinj. Well done mate.

Got through a UT1 session tonight (3 x 10 minutes @ r20). I feel like I might have tweeked something in my back (left lat/rib maybe?) but it's not terrible. I'll see how it feels tomorrow.

Apropos this rowvember thing: not really for me because I'm not on the machine every day, but if some of the workouts are original and interesting could people share please? I'm always on the lookout for variety. Unless they're copyrighted or protected, of course. Alternatively, if I register will I be bombarded with spam?

Rowvember...

First email came through with an explanation of the session, links to videos And other bits. Looked quite promising.

Yesterday’s email had just the workout.
