Not a particularly good start. Normally when I’m dieting I am good in the week but allow chocolate at the weekend. Had far too much this weekend. It’s as if I shove in as much as I can due to not being allowed any for 5 days. If I allow a little a day I don’t binge at the weekend but a little a day turns into a little in the morning a little in the afternoon and so on!

I think it’s hard to reset after the Christmas festivities, I listened to Dr Rangan Chaterjee on Chris Evans this morning and he was taking about breaking habits. There is a podcast of the interview.

Not sure if I could although usually Mon to Fri there is nothing to eat or drink after 8.pm and could easily wait till 9.am to eat again next day. It’s just food. I drink lots of water and black coffee whilst I’m fasting and I’m normally asleep for most of it (apart from tonight 😛) |

Coffee, tea, green tea until about 1pm then brunch then evening meal at 6pm and that’s it. Maybe a cup of marmite and piece of cheese at 4pm. I need the discipline of it.

I couldn't be that restricted n-r, but as you say it is what works for us individually, we are all so different with different lifestyles. Step on scales suggest a little progress in the right direction... |

I braved the scales this morning, my app must have been so shocked that it refused to record the readings! Anyhow, I have 11lb to shed.

He talks a lot of sense, from a place of compassion. |

It helps that I am retired GG, I can shut the world and all its temptations out, which is a luxury most don’t have. Well done on your progress.

Being retired has certainly helped change my eating habits. I can wait longer till i need to eat my first meal of the day. Not so many temptations for sweets while sitting at a desk . My workplace would be full of chocolate and biscuits just now from lovely patients.
