I was so sure I’d weigh less after yesterday abs only scored a 0.1kg loss. Post run I am well down so it’ll only be a matter of time before my morning weight catches up. I’be had some faster sessions this week and run the same distance as at the weekend so fingers crossed.

the scales are fine - husband was complaining about his weight gain yesterday.

I have an apple watch (present, have to wear it, but it's stupid *rolls eyes* ) for general wear, Garmin goes on for running.
The apple is clever enough to confirm that I don't move enough during the day

Sales pitch for Coros. I don't take it off. So everything is recorded. Not that I have time to analyse all the data!

I have a Garmin Fenix 5 and only leaves wrist when in bath or charging.

But Apple does not know about Garmin and what you have done already?

the watches talk to each other via RunGap - the apple knows what has been transferred to Garmin connect.

Before retirement in 2019 a fairly typical "good" weekday would have been:

up by 6, walk the dog - at least 2 miles
run 3 miles
walk 1 mile to work

be on feet for 6 hours at work.
walk 1 mile home
walk the dog - at least 2 miles

Apart from running, which is about 30 miles per week at the moment, but slowly increasing, all the rest of the daily routine movement, apart from the occasional walk to the shops, has gone.

I love the way the watches talk to each other.

Maybe start a daily walk of 1-2 miles and build on it if it suits your lifestyle?

I can't face walking locally without the dog :(
I shall go for proper walks once we're allowed out of our area
