On my ultra training plan yesterday was a rest day. I did 45 min yoga style workout. Lunch walk was cancelled as I was on a webinar and spent pretty much all day on one call or another so missed that. Last night I was exhausted and the wind & rain was horizontal so I had a bath & early night.

I go with my option as exercise suppresses my appetite for my long run Saturday it was Monday before I was hungry I ate well but cals wise I was way way down with consumed b burnt (the run burnt 2457 cals according to Garmin which I know isn’t accurate I treat it as a guide) if I worked on base cals & more for exercise days it would mess with my head going over my allocated calories on Monday.

I’ve never had an eating disorder but I don’t have a healthy relationship with food. This is the best I’ve ever managed to be.

morning
todays plan had a longer hard turbo session than I have previously done so for a change I fuelled
I was shocked by how many calories it came out as then garmin came along and said I was still in the negatives!

It must be so hard to lose weight purely by diet. There's nothing quite like seeing your garmin roll over to 1000 cals.

Oh I do love Garmin saying I've burnt off loads!
Even better when it says 4 figures burnt!

I'm now having an inner conflict
My belly says it wants food but my head is saying you already ate and fuelled for a ride!
I know I'm about even so it's "OK" to eat but head is like oh no don't eat think of the calories! and this is why I always seem to give up as I can't settle these inner conflicts without "ruining" everything
I too have an unhealthy relationship with food :-(

Sadly i don't see 1000 cals burned very often.Luckily I have a healthy relationship with food.

I blame Azx I have a log book which I fill in daily along with running log book. But at least it gives me lots to look at for progress:-)

Another run walk clocked this morning. Interesting thing is, I haven't had breakfast on running days, just a banana! Running seems to suppress the appetite!

AZX I walk faster than I run right now! Brisk walk is where it is at, especially uphill!

I just turned my scales off and on again as they had given me exactly the same numbers - bar a % either way for the water number - for 8 days in a row.
This is so very frustrating!
The trendweight graph was taking off 0.1lb a day, but even that has given up on my weightloss :(

I think I need to up my non-exercise activity - I don't know what my daily steps are these days, but I know the number probably isn't good.

I have been wondering about my steps. Gardening is a hard activity to measure/pin down. I suspect I expend more than I think...

Rosehip: Does your garmin do steps? what about a walk on non exercise days? What is a week like for you training wise?
Are scales okay how about testing them with some weights to check it is okay or a new battery?
