I think inactive is the right way to go and what i have as exercise is what I do on top.

I found that calculator thing impossible. I am inactive, but I do gardening work for a living, forced by covid... I really cannot make the thing apply to me. Either that or I don't understand it...

I have tried both ways but if I go minimum with extra when I exercise I find I don't eat as much, I found for me having more consistent calories works best - like all things we are all different and finding what works best for us is key.

I wouldn't say gardening for a living is inactive Hann, it just happens to be part of your work day.

GG, me too, but I couldn't fit my actual life in with the calculator, so I gave up. I am staying low tech! Still on the no snacks, halve the fat use diet and it seems to be working. I even said no to cake earlier, even though I felt slightly hungry after a small portion of veggie curry. I have cut down on deserts too! And no excessive amounts of cheese consumed either today, whoop!

Morning folks. I also log as sedentary with exercise added on. It seems a lot more precise that way. Though Hanneke, if you're gardening all day, that sounds like "active" is your baseline.

Too wet to ride yesterday, so did a 17k run which kept me going nicely in the right direction. Looks too windy to ride today, but can't run 3 days in a row.

That is probably my plan WP. I have a nice hill to walk up near me and my garmin gives me loads of bonus calories for doing it briskly :)
