Hello! Forum-virgin alert!! (But please don't tell anyone, or I'll get picked on in the playground by the rough looking girls).

I'm definitely looking at losing weight. About a leg-full should do it, but I'm really struggling. 5 hours of exercise a week, about 2000 calories a day and I'm still putting weight on...

How the hell does that work?!?!!?

dobster - there is an unwritten rule on fetch that you have 100 posts before people can be mean to you :) Unless you go out of your way to piss folk off then you are fair game :p You should try myfitnesspal - it works out, based on your age, weight, height etc, how many calories you need to lose weight. Personally I get 1200 cals a day and I use the exercise calories I earn as well most of the time. Mostly thats cos 1200 calories is difficult to stick to unless you are very motivated and keep away from all junk....especially crisps....mmmmmmm :)

Hi dobster - another vote for myfitnesspal.com here! I've found it really helpful. That and a good set of kitchen scales so I don't kid myself about portion sizes.

Mmmmmmm crisps... nom nom nom

I liked the look of that myfitnesspal website until I did the BMR test and it told me I can only have 1422 calories a day. Now I hate it. *wanders off to find a carrot stick*

Crisps are a big downfall of mine and I only buy packs from the walkers under 100 cals range - Squares, French Fries and Quavers but it doesn't help them being under 100 cals when you eat several bags - hehe

I can ignore chocolate (it has been known to go off in my house), but I absolutely love crisps. I can eat family-sized packs in one sitting. Hmmmm, that might be where I'm going wrong... :s
