Distinctly autumnal, first time for ages that I’ve had to come in and get warm rather than cooling down.

Put some long trousers on and tried another run. Aborted this one at 2 miles as for one it’s too warm for long trousers and two, it felt like I was being stabbed in the back of my knee with a pin around the bite.

I’ll just try again tomorrow.

Intervals tonight, looks like it’ll be 5 x 1k loops, I’ll be in the group going every 6 minutes. The speedsters I’ll be doing something like 6 going on 4 minutes.

Called off - ran on Sunday with a slight sore throat and sniffy nose assumed hay fever - how wrong was I - A summer cold. High heart rate on the old Garminator and a poor nights sleep last night - Lemsip and feet up for me.

Hope the ill and injured recover well.
Someone on fetch once wrote dress for mile two not the startline. Advice I follow normally works out well.

Good running to those of us yet to venture out

In and out long run
Warm up then 5 x 3 mins half marathon pace with 2 mins marathon pace as recovery.
5 mins easy then 5 more intervals as before. Finished with 45 mins easy running

Good session legs felt good last interval a bit slower running into wind but good practice for coastal half.

Managed my run today. An 8 mile trail run in the sunshine. The fells looked beautiful.
