I’ve gone the other way, from a lot of hokas, and now a lot of saucony. So I went for the new Tempus instead of the Arahi. |

I don't know about Arahi, but they're supposed to be the support shoe. The Bondi seems reasonably supporting for me (but then I'm fairly neutral). It used to be said that you needed to go up half a size in Hokas, but that was historically because they came up narrow. The newer models though seem more generous in this respect (I run in the same size as other makes e.g. Adidas, Nike). There's a handy Hoka size guide here: ultramarathonrunningstore.com |

Lesley C I always ran in size 6 Adidas, and I’m still a size 6 in Hokas. I run in Clifton 8’s and love them.

I've done around 250 miles in my current Clifton 8 and they are already quite worn on the outside edge of both heels. They seem to be less hardy than Mizuno Wave Inspires

I find Hokas a perfect fit...even though the 8s don't do it for me. I've got to wear them though because I can't merit spending another £100 on trainers just yet! What Oranj says is right. I'd go as far as to say that the Clifton 8 is the best fit, most comfortable shoe I've put on in many years and with perfect sizing (for me, 8.5). Pity the mid sole or whatever is "dead". I've done 900 miles in my Clifton 7 and 200 in the 8s. I think I simply might have a rogue pair. |

for me Hoka: eu 40.7, uk 7 Saucony: eu 41, uk 7 Hoka probably feel a little snugger than the Saucony with this approach but all good. Sera - I always destroy Hoka quicker than any other brand. Love wearing them but hate the build quality. Oranj has some tips for durability (!) but in general a few dobs of shoo goo here and there helps! |

My last three pairs have been Arahi and I find them a lot kinder to my ageing hips! I still go up half a size snd have 600 miles in my current pair with a couple of hundred miles left in them.

I had discounted the Arahi because they are sold as a support shoe, but I wouldn't let that put you off if you don't need it. I was looking for something else in the shop but I tried them on and found them very good, with the width in the toebox I need (Cliftons are marginal for me). In the end I got some NB Fresh Foam More, which I love, but even so.
