I find my new Clifton 8's really comfortable. I wear a size 8 in shoes and always bought Mizuno's in size 9. I had two pairs of Clifton 7's in size 9 and the newest pair started bruising one of my toes. So when I bought the Clifton 8's I took a punt on size 9.5 and hoped that they would not be a loose fit. No worries, as they seem to be fitting a treat.
Well, for me it goes to show I am too quick to grumble about new shoes! I now like my 8's and the comfort is really good; I noted when I bought them that regardless of "ride" at the time they were the most comfortable shoe I have bought and fit was perfect to my usual size 8.5 even when wearing orthotics. Glad you folks like them too!
Thanks K5 Gus, what a very useful clip. I note then I'm running in the right model for what I need! Geez...I expect we can all recall when Hoka were almost laughed at because of their mid sole thickness..now they're highly valued in the running community.
I'm still wearing my Clifton 7 which have seen something like 1000 miles and swap to Clifton 8 every other day. To be a bit trite and shallow (!) I do love the orange colour of them too!
Strange. I can’t find any discernible difference in with the 8s I have over the 7s I had previously. Actually, I think I prefer the 8s given that the heel cup is a bit softer/ has taken less modification with the kitchen scissors.
Had the same experience as you with many other shoes through Steve. It happens…
I am looking at trying hokas, I usually wear saucony but fancy trying something different. I need support so does anyone wear Arahi? Are they any good? Should I go up a half size?
