I think my comments on Clifton 8 are certainly down to something about me! Or I've got a pair of rogue seconds!

I have now tested the new Clifton 8βs I think they are a little stiffer, and more stable then the 7. No rocker for sure, but as daily trainers with some support and soft ish, they will probably do just fine.
I like them so far!

Mr. K.
I like the 8's - probably not as good as the 7's but I did some cracking races in the 7's - as I did with the Claytonβs - I really do miss those.

I wore some old Saucony Ride today that have done 800 miles and still , to me, felt better than my Clifton 8. It's clearly "me" for some reason I'm not teaming up with the Clifton. Sometimes I've found a courtship with some trainers takes longer than with others. I'm hoping that we can woo eachother to a satisfactory outcome π

Old Clifton 7 today and most definitely (for me) a much better shoe than my Clifton 8. Interestingly my wife is finding her new Hoka Bondi also not as good as her previous Clifton 7. We wonder whether it's because we both wear custom orthotics, although they haven't adversely affected the "ride" of shoes before.

The 8 is a little more stiff. im wondering about the Arahi, are supposed to be a little more steady, which maybe nice with tired feets and ankles, since i kinda fall in with my feets a bit if im really tired..i might try those next time.

I have worn my Clifton 8's on 5 runs now. Can't say that I have noticed much difference from the 7's but I am still struggling post covid so that's not really very helpful.

My wife and I have both thought that our new Clifton's and Bondi are not as good as previous models but friends of ours think they are good and not much different. I'm certainly concluding that " it must be just us".

Surprise...after plodding away in the 8's they finally feel a lot better! Not as obviously cushioned or having that "roll forward" like the 7s but not as bad as I found them initially and actually they felt ok!
