Yes! I sometimes feel like punting it through a hedge when it makes snide comments like that. I will have to look into the "pause" feature

I am not sure I need the smart trainer function day to day, tried today using that channel but I couldn’t get HR to be detected. Disconnected that channel and HR came back in. As far as I can tell from dcrainmaker.com if you weren’t connected or had no signal to a smart app you can put a session on the watch and run that.

Just spotted that RunAlyze has started capturing a feed from Garmin of my sleep. No idea how it is doing that (and it's dodgy data as I don't sleep in my watch anyway), but thought that was interesting. On a broader note, should there be a feature request to see if Fetch can start capturing and recording some of the .fit file data (e.g. VO2Max from file) that Garmin provides? I like Runalyze, but would prefer all the data that it grabs to be on Fetch, even if it would be a little cheeky to suggest that Fetch should nick all of the graph ideas that Runalyze provides (though I'd like that!!). |

I sent Fetch a FIT file a couple of weeks ago so I believe he is looking at that stuff (HRV was the trigger for the file). Runalyze is capturing resting HR as well now. Runalyze had sync issues for longer than everyone else and said they use a newer API so wonder whether that's how they get more info across. |

I think I mentioned an enhancement of capturing the 2 minute drop a long time ago (about 2011) when I first had a 610 which did this but I assumed this was optimistic.

I hadn't realised that the .fit file contained that heart rate recovery data before reading back on this thread over the last few days. It does get reported on my watch after two minutes, but presumed that as it appears after the "save" option appears that it didn't get written to the file. Turns out it does, so I'll have to wait 2mins more regularly now! I'm sure some people may be uncomfortable with sleep data being transferred to third party services when they previously thought all they were sharing was activity specific data. (Me, I don't care one way or the other!) |
