Morning!

Lyrics: Friendly old girl of a town
'Neath her tavern light
On this merry night
Let us clink and drink one down

What: a run of some description

Why: how long depends on where I can find to run

Morning :)

Lyrics - yes, that better hadn't be today's earworm!

What - Pilates class this morning, then a busy day likely to include the knackering exercise that is shopping in MK with Daughter.

Why, it's Friday and meeting Daughter off a train (🤞) for her Christmas/birthday) trip home.

Lyrics: Yes

On my 8th birthday my parents took me to the London Palladium to see the musical Hans Christian Andersen, starring Tommy Steele (who also co-wrote it). We bought the soundtrack cassette which of course included this song. It was a great show and I played that tape loads for a while.

Morning

No work today means more flexibility for the run @alehouse , but I understand regarding the bank balance too. Hope you find a good route

Happy holidays @Ness

Good pic yesterday @PeterFay . Did look a bit chilly up the hill.

Good work with your running group @emzap

All the best for your dad @riggys99 . Hope you can fit in a run today.

The 100k isn't a mountainous one at all. Around 2000ft of climbing spread over the distance isn't a huge amount - just a few long uphill drags which need care. It is local to me and I have done parts of it in the past (including the relay last year). The distance certainly is daunting considering I haven't done well in longer distances in the last years. In terms of navigation and support it should be ok - none of the former needed and regular aid stations. We will see.

What: short go on the TM, maybe some outdoor strides
Why: maybe due some snow later, no more needed today
Last rest: yesterday

Good morning all!

Thanks @HazelnutCH

I'm in the airport at the moment but all being well I shall go for an afternoon stroll later. Running will have to wait until tomorrow and I've acclimatised a bit more.

Hazel, the 100k sounds perfect, just need to keep moving until its done, unless there are tight cut offs! What time of year is it?

Less snow around today but the sky looks threatening.
Ness enjoy hols. My friend popped round last night to give us her remaining veg as she's off skiing in Austria.
Slightly missed the entry boat for John Muir ultra but on their waiting list and fairly optimistic that a few folk will drop out between now and march. There was an interesting one in Northumbria same weekend but a bit further to goyuk to the shopping rosehip.
Hope you find somewhere Ale.

Lyrics: no

What: walking only until we get a thaw

Last hard: resisting running yesterday

Request: that you all dig out your suntan lotion and beach attire because we’re going somewhere warm tomorrow 🏖️
